Q. Can you ship a Bummer Bear to the U.K., Canada or other International locations)?
A.Yes! We do ship our Bummer Bears abroad but the extra shipping cost can be quite expensive. The extra shipping cost to the U.K. is $37 and to Canada is $33, for example. This is added to the price of the bear. Because our website can only accept orders being shipped to the U.S., any international orders are taken by phone. If you are interested, please fill out the Contact Us page on the website and provide your phone number and the best time of day or evening to reach you. We'll call you back to take your order by phone. The bear will take 3-5 business days to reach the U.K. from the U.S. once it is shipped.
Q. What size are the Bummer Bears?
A. All of the Bummer Bears are the same size; they are 16" tall (from head to toe) and 12" tall when sitting. Every Bummer Bear can sit up without any assistance because they have small bean-like weights hidden in the derriere and in the ends of their paws.
Q. Are Bummer Bears soft?
A. YES, YES, YES!! They are extremely huggable and soft. Imagine squeezing a bear stuffed with cotton balls -- Bummer Bears are THAT type of soft.
Q: For what ages are Bummer Bears appropriate?
A. Bummer Bears are great get-well gifts for anyone from age 3 to 103. Our Bummer Bears are safe for children age 3 years and older.
Q. Can I include a personal greeting with my Bummer Bear?
A. Absolutely! We hope that you will choose to include a personal greeting to the recipient of your Bummer Bear selection. During the checkout process you will have the opportunity to write a personal message to the recipient. Your greeting will be hand-written on our special Bummer Bear card and included with the bear.
Q. What are Bummer Bears Made of?
A.We were very selective about the quality of our Bummer Bears — our bears had to be soft and huggable with a nice brown coat, and we wanted each of them to have a face that could cheer up any child or adult who was having a "Bummer" time. Every Bummer Bear has soft poly filling in their body and arms to make them a pleasure to hug and hold.
Q. What are the Bummer Bears Accessories Made of?
A.All fabric accessories are made from 100% cotton fabric. Our exclusive paw-print fabric is hand-printed. (We couldn't find any cute paw print fabric out there, so we decided to create our own!) The zippers on the Mended Heart Bear are made especially for our bears out of a durable plastic that makes them softer to the touch (or to the hug).
Q. Can you make a special order Bummer Bear?
A. Absolutely -- that's what makes our company special -- we love creating new Bummer Bears tailored specifically for your loved-ones or friends. If you don't see a bear that matches the "Bummer" that your friend or loved one is experiencing, please let us know and we'll be happy to help create a special order Bummer Bear just for you. We are a creative bunch here at Bummer Bears and are always ready to come up with unique details for your special order Bummer Bear. Select the Special Order Bummer Bears option in the menu on the left and tell us about the special bummer for which you'd like a Bummer Bear created. We will work with you to create a unique, customized Bummer Bear that will be sure to cheer up the recipient.
Look for the Special Order Bummer Bear option on the menu on the left side of any of the bear shop pages. Fill out a few basic questions and provide us with a contact phone number or email and we'll get back to you within 12 hours (often sooner) to discuss your special order Bummer Bear. Almost anything you can think of, we can create. Please add an extra 3-5 days to our regular delivery schedule to allow us to shop for, and create, unusual and customized accessories and details for your special order Bummer Bear.
Q. After I place an order, how long does it take for the recipient to receive their bear?
A. Our standard FREE SHIPPING is via USPS Priority Mail, which should be received by the recipient within 2-3 days. If you select USPS Express Mail shipping (an extra $22 charge) your bear will be shipped the next day and will arrive at the recipient's door the following day for most addresses in the U.S..
Q. Will I receive a confirmation of my order?
A. Yes. You will receive an email confirmation with details of your order.
Q. Will I be able to confirm that my Bummer Bear was delivered to the recipient?
A. Yes, you can log on to the US Postal Service to track the bear's shipping progress or delivery confirmation by entering the tracking number which will be emailed to you after your Bummer Bear has been shipped.
Q. If I give you my email address can I be assured that you won't sell it or give it away?
A. We hate spam and junk mail as much as you do so we will never sell or give away your email address to anyone else.
Q. Is my online purchase secure?
A. For your security, orders on our site are encrypted with SSL technology on both the client and server end. Your information sent via the Internet can be trusted to arrive privately and unaltered, to our server only. In order for SSL security to work, you must use an SSL-enabled browser. Please note that email and our "Contact Us" form is not encrypted, and is not considered a secure means so please do NOT use that as a method of transmitting credit card numbers to us.

Q. Will the recipient see the price I paid for the Bummer Bear?
A. No. We figure that every Bummer Bear is being sent as a gift so we keep the price of your selected bear between you and us.
Q. Do you collect sales tax?
A. Yes, we collect sales tax for all bears purchased by customers in New York State.
Q. What are the payment options for purchasing a Bummer Bear?
A. We accept Mastercard, Visa, and American Express. We can not accept jars of honey as payment at this time.
